A Lesson About Love from Los Angeles

Since starting this blog, I’ve seen more love in the world than ever before and it’s made me realize that even though the type of love that we all dream about hasn’t come, that doesn’t mean that there is an absence of love in life.

Love is there. Love is here. Love is everywhere.

When I first saw this message on the sidewalk as I walked home one day, I found myself wondering who Claire Rose was and who were the people who were paying tribute to her. And as I offered my own prayer, I began to think of all the people in my life who would write my name on the sidewalk if I was no longer here. And as I thought of each one of them, the times we shared and how we’ve been there for each other, I smiled.

I’m not alone. I’m loved.

I also began to think that maybe life isn’t about searching for our great love, maybe it’s about appreciating the love that we already have.

Thank you for the lesson, Claire Rose.

  1. Sometimes I think we need to remember “Love” is everywhere. Love is a smile to a stranger. Love is a kind word when you could have said nothing. Love is taking the time to be kind to a stranger.
While you may not have Love in the Romantic sense, it doesn’t mean you lack love.
Sometimes when we’re faced with hard times, we ask “why me, why does this happen to me.” While no one likes the hard times, they’re usually opportunities for growth. This might just be your season to go through the “Fire” the thing about fire is that although it destroys, it also purifies metals. Perhaps this is your season to appreciate Love more, to recognize it in all its forms. So that when you have Romantic Love, you’ll know to cherish it, that’s much more. Well that’s my 2 cents anyway 😁
